Stotts Group acquire Parker Transport (SW) Ltd

We are delighted to announce that Willmott Transport’s parent company Stotts Group has acquired Parker Transport SW Ltd in Midsomer Norton, Somerset. Stotts Group also includes S&B Transport Services and Quarry Way Commercials and now operates across more than 10 sites within the South West region.

The acquisition will enhance Stotts Group’s presence in the Somerset area as the Group companies continue to expand and develop their core logistics activities, with increased fleet capacity now operated collectively and warehousing space of over 450,000 sq ft.

Andy Stott, owner and director of Stotts Group commented: “The Parker Transport business has been built on solid foundations over a number of decades and is a successful and high achieving logistics company which will play a key role in the overall development of the Group ongoing as we continue our significant growth.

“Willmotts Transport has a large distribution warehouse on the same industrial estate in Midsomer Norton, so strategically this purchase consolidates our presence in the area. There are many similarities between our companies, and we will be keen to maintain the first-class standards already in place and to foster synergies and efficiencies between both businesses.”
