  • Distribution

    Our Shepton Mallet logistics team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service. We are committed to ensuring that shipments reach their destinations promptly.   • Pallet Network

    We collect and deliver in local postcodes on a daily basis on our fleet which includes 3.5 ton vans, 7.5 ton rigids (curtain and panel), 18 ton rigids, and 26 ton rigids.

    We deliver throughout the UK and Europe with strategically placed central pallet hubs and over 200 depots placed all over the country, covering every postcode area in the UK and beyond.

  • BRCGS & Organic Warehousing

    We operate over 500,000 sq ft of high-quality warehousing within the Somerset area.  Our warehouses are subject to the highest levels of safety and surveillance, all tightly managed and continually monitored.

    Using cloud-based tools, our Warehouse Management System provides complete transparency of order, receipt, stock levels, or despatch status, all available in real-time. With full EDI and API functionality.

    Willmotts Transport can deliver palletised consignments throughout Europe and handle the relevant customs paperwork so that your delivery proceeds smoothly and efficiently to its destination.

    Whether on our own vehicles or via our reliable direct delivery or network partners, you can rest assured of professional service, provided by experts who are experienced in import and export formalities and in running vehicles in Europe.

  • ADR

    We have a certified DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) and our teams are trained in safe loading, unloading and handling of ADR goods, with particular expertise in concentrates or ingredients used in the food and pharmaceutical supply chains.

    Our Warehouse Management System (WMS) provides daily inventory and movement reporting, with the option of real-time stock visibility via an online Portal if required.

  • Achieving certification against the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety proves your level of competence in HACCP, hygiene, food safety and quality systems. At the same time it demonstrates our commitment to consumer safety and stakeholder relations.

  • The Road Haulage Association (RHA) helps to ensure that the road haulage profession is efficient, responsive and perhaps the safest in Europe. As a member of the RHA, Willmotts Transport has access to benefits and services to support the UK’s freight industry - an essential to the UK economy.

  • In partnership with Palletforce’s Pallet Network since 2007, Willmotts Transport can provide our customers a daily pallet collection and delivery service for our clients within the local area. This membership allows us to offer our clients cost-effective, reliable, quick delivery options from Saturday delivery, next day delivery and more.

  • Our ISO 9001:2015 certification proves our attention to detail. With ISO 9001:2015, Willmotts Transport demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. OUR HISTORY

Willmotts Transport Ltd was founded in 1918 by George Willmott at the end of the First World War, with its base in Wells, Somerset. Willmotts Transport’s first fleet started with an ex RAF Leyland. In 1936, they bought their first AEC vehicle, which set a precedent for the future, with further purchases being AEC. Originally the core work was moving cheese, paper, and drink, and servicing the local agricultural industry.

In the 1980s Willmotts Transport changed to a fleet of predominantly DAFs, operating 80 trucks and 150 trailers at their peak; when they moved to their existing home in Waterlip, near Shepton Mallet and proceeded to build workshops and two 20,000 square ft ambient warehouses on the site. Willmotts Transport today has grown to be a renowned independent haulier, with its roots firmly based in the Mendips in Somerset.
